Received mine a few days earlier than planned, tried them on and have to say they are durable. Note: I would also like to add before I continue that the label on the box says "These knee pads are not intended for sport." You are buying them for very heavy use and wear and tear. The outer shell or "lid" is somewhat flexible, which prevents it from breaking into pieces or tearing. If it were a little harder, it would be more likely. Inner padding also protects the knees. Whether you're taking your knee for a break, kicking your knee into a corner, or climbing, there's some serious shock absorption here. Based on the design of these pillows, they will last a while. Also: wear insoles when you are either sitting or when your legs are slightly bent. When you stand up, the straps are most likely placed in the wrong area of your legs, causing your knee pads to slip off when you run, and you need them the most. I highly recommend you try them out if you haven't already. Check out some more reviews if you need more credibility lol.
