Review on TP-LINK Archer C7 AC1750 Dual Band Wireless AC Gigabit Router - Renewed with Two USB Ports, IPv6 and Guest Network by Ada Bokowska - Haczk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice product, happy with my purchase and may buy again.

Because the TP-Link gigabit hubs in my office work for days on end without any problems, I decided to purchase this device in January 2022. I am also not aware of any problems with the TL-MR3040 portable router. But more specifically, my device was not successful because networks frequently "fall off": initially (between the second and third day), 5-GHz networks, then 2.4 networks, and finally ethernet networks (this despite the fact that through the web interface you can see that wireless networks, ostensibly, they function, but in fact, they are not visible to devices: 10-15 devices on the network). I've already had it repaired twice, and now I'm just waiting for the third opportunity to hand it back over to the person who sold it to me. In addition, there is no option for fine-tuning (which is available on comparable devices made by other manufacturers), such as bridge mode or the capability to combine a LAN port with a WAN network, for example. Someone else said here before me that all of the extensive possibilities of iron are leveled by lousy software; I agree with this statement one hundred percent. In conclusion, the device is worthy of recommendation to an unsuspecting user if it is not used in conjunction with a marriage, as was the case with me. When you look at the total cost. With the installation of the most recent firmware version (32022.3 Build 150511 Rel.55816n), all "childhood ailments" were cured, and the router is now in perfect working order around the clock. My rating will now be a 4 instead of a 2.

Pros
  • WiFi with two bands, support for USB devices (but not for GSM modems), and a simple setup process.
Cons
  • insufficient attention to detail
