Does what it is supposed to do. 5 plugs are deactivated when the 6th main source is switched off (they can also be set to "always on"). 2 plugs are always connected. I have a home theater so this might be difficult but it works great. My AV receiver is configured as the master. I installed a powered subwoofer, XBox 360, Wii, charger and a set of wireless headphones connected to 5 aux jacks. The TV is plugged into one of the always-on sockets. I sometimes use a TV without a receiver, but I never use any of the 5 things plugged into my slave outlets unless the receiver is also on, so this setup is pretty good. Anything plugged into the auxiliary outlets is covered in LEDs that draw power even when they're off. So I know I'm saving money. Yes, this surge protector costs $40, but that's what a good surge protector would cost anyway. And it saves electricity. And it has a great guarantee. And Tripp-Lite has an amazing reputation.
