I bought one of these for my entertainment system and couldn't be happier. The TV is connected to the Master, Xbox One and Xbox 360 are connected to power saving sockets. As soon as the television is switched on from standby, the power supplies of both set-top boxes are supplied with power. When I turn off the console I'm using, wait for the power adapter to go into standby (orange light) and then turn off the TV, the device disconnects power from the energy-saving outlets. Works as described. I like the ability to turn off peripherals when the computer is off without having to press the shutdown button on each one. Two things to consider when purchasing. It is much wider than traditional extension cords. It also has plenty of LEDs that stay on when the surge protector is connected. If none of these pose a problem for you then this is a quality product that I recommend.

A few things stop it from being perfect, but nothing means it has to lose a star. It works as promised and I have successfully used it to power my entertainment system. My old power amp has no trigger input or even a power switch! Using it with my preamp in the control socket did the trick. I like that there is an always-on side (the three socket side) and a switch to turn the other side on and off when you select (the side with the all green switch). One of the downsides is that on the side where you turn the switches on and off, the green bits that you slide up or down like a childproof lock may one day get stuck and you'll have to go down and fix them . . I like that you have the option to turn it on or off and you can back up the phone line as well.

Does what it is supposed to do. 5 plugs are deactivated when the 6th main source is switched off (they can also be set to "always on"). 2 plugs are always connected.
