Controls computer peripherals well

Tripp Lite, 8 Outlets (5 Energy Efficient), Surge Protector, Extension Cord, 8ft Cord, Right Angle Plug, Lifetime Limited Warranty & $150,000 Insurance (TLP808NETG) So far I've been very happy with this purchase. I can't say anything about the competence as a surge protector, because I didn't need it and hopefully don't need it either. The energy saving features are nice. However, I had a very specific need for a lightweight, high-quality surge protector with controlled outlets. I have a small computer desk in the office that has some cable management features but is still relatively open and doesn't allow for good device hiding. I also use a Steinberg UR22 audio interface, a Mikka Origin amplifier and a Polk subwoofer on my computer. I wanted to be able to turn all hardware on and off with the computer and also be able to hide most of the cables and devices. In this role, this unit did well. All sockets work, the computer is plugged into the "main socket". All other devices ideally follow the state of the computer when plugged into the "sleep" slots. In addition, the device is relatively light and can be easily mounted with double-sided 3M tape. Although I have to remove the top of my desk, the photos show that the device can be placed discreetly and has worked flawlessly so far. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to make it easier to control the power status of their peripherals.
