I have a first generation OPIS PushMeFon in dark blue. I like this phone in general, but the electronic ringer is VERY loud. Here's a low-tech solution: 1. Turn off your phone. Remove the six deep countersunk small Phillips screws on the base.2. Open the phone, being careful not to pull out the cables connecting the top and bottom halves of the phone.3. Locate the bell's round black plastic housing. Unscrew it and use a very small flat head screwdriver to pry it open where the wires enter. 4. Cut out a circle of thin polyethylene foam (1/64 inch to 1/32 inch thick) the size of a metal disk.5. Place the styrofoam on the metal disc and put the black plastic cap back on.6. Stuff the hole on the other side of the bell body with polyethylene foam.7. Screw the body of the bell.8. Join the halves of the phone and replace the six screws. You can still hear the phone ringing, but your guests shouldn't be jumping out of their chairs.
