Our dog was raised by cats and so was very often convinced that he should be involved in their food and treats. Therefore, he is very picky about food. He dislikes chicken, turkey or lamb cuts and will go on hunger strike if given such ingredients as the main protein in his meal. This dog food reminds him so much of cat food that he loves to eat it and we don't have to fight to get him to eat it anymore! He weighs about 10 pounds and these bites don't seem too big to him, he doesn't seem to have any pretensions in that regard.
