Review on 📀 Optical Quantum 6X 50 GB BD-R DL Glossy White Inkjet Printable Blu-Ray Double Layer 10-Disc Spindle, OQBDRDL06GWIPH-10 by Elijah Balzarini

I bought 10 of these 50GB discs and have burned four discs so far. Results: 2 successful burns and 2 props. It's 50% bounce. These discs are not reliable enough to be written on. I've burned many other brands on the same computer and burner without incident. The brand also claims a so-called "glossy" finish. Don't be fooled, this is a glossy textured finish, far from being a smooth glossy finish. Plexdisc Liquid Defense Plus Waterproof is the only brand you can trust with a true "shiny smooth" finish. There is nothing comparable on the market. An inkjet printed photo on this glossy surface leaves a lasting impression. Rumor has it that Optical Quantum is the same manufacturer that makes the Plexdisc brand, and if it's true, it annoys me that the same company has two brands on opposite sides of the pole of success. One thing should also be noted. Optical Quantum and JVC Tayo Yuden brands have mounting rings on the disc surface. These rings mark each disc further down the stack, leaving a circular mark near the center hub that appears as a halo on the disc's surface after the disc has been printed. The Plexdisc brand does not have this problem. The only downside to the Plexdisc brand is the cost. Let's hope the 10-disc price can drop below the $25 mark soon. I truly believe they will outperform any other brand on the market.
