I bought these connectors to save myself the hassle of running and replacing all the old Cat3 cables from an old hotel security camera. The new Q-See system uses BNC and 1/4 inch power connectors. The adapters allowed me to connect the new cameras to my existing Cat3 cable and the Cat3 cables to the DVR. Works perfectly. You need to make an extra adapter to connect the camera power to this adapter because the bottom of the power port is the same as that of the camera. This is not a problem for the DVR. Also, the Cat3 terminal block isn't the tightest in the whole world, so I wrapped everything in electrical tape to ensure a strong and durable connection and to protect it from anyone tampering with it easily (although the terminals are hidden in the ceiling ). .
