I've been a photographer for almost 25 years and I have more cameras than I care to admit. I use Nikon D5100 and Canon SX40HS as high end cameras but I wanted something I could easily toss around and carry around in my daily event bag. I blog and Facebook and always take photos around town. I've been using the SD700IS for this purpose for a number of years, but since 2006 I thought I'd get something more modern. The A3400is didn't disappoint, it shoots on par with the SX40HS and sometimes can't tell which camera shot what. The touchscreen is easy to use, compact and for the money you just can't go wrong. Honestly I just can't say anything bad about the A3400IS. In low light, on sunny days, all photos are clear. This is a great camera for beginners or just to keep in your bag for those special photos that crop up. I love it and for the 139.00 I paid it's no problem.
