If you mainly want to shoot outdoors and in good light, this camera is perfect for you. I bought it hoping for decent low-light performance, especially since it offers a nice bright f2.8 aperture. Gave one of these to my wife for Christmas. She used an old A520 (I think), 5 MP, 5x zoom. Terrible screen. But it has a true optical viewfinder. I like it.
