This is by far one of the best cameras I've ever bought (and I've bought a lot of cameras, each costing a little more than this one. The battery life is really good though. Unfortunately, a proprietary battery required. Image quality is excellent and most settings can still be adjusted despite being point-and-shoot. Where this camera really shines is where the video capture is, like no wonder, light. Frame-rate is smooth and clarity is great. Even the sound is good but the biggest features on video are macro and stabilization the detail it can capture with macro is out of this world the touchscreen isn't that great though I don't really use it as the menus come with the buttons are just as easy to navigate. In the hand it's very comfortable and feels very solid, although I still wouldn't dare drop it. It even supports SD cards up to 32GB (maybe more, but the biggest I have is 32). It all boils down to the fact that if it ever breaks or gets lost/stolen, I won't hesitate to buy a new one.
