Admittedly this is my first time installing padlocks so others with more experience may not have this problem. They come with no instructions, which is not surprising, so I read a few online guides to find out how to install them. In this case, the male part that goes to the valve is installed with almost microscopic screws instead of standard pins and brackets (according to textbooks). Luckily I have a set of micro screwdrivers, but it's difficult to punch a hole in fabric that isn't too small or too big for small things. I used mine on a doll bag so it doesn't carry a lot, but on a real bag I would be concerned about the clasp coming loose. The female part is fixed with clamps and everything went well. However, the delivery was quick and the closures themselves make a robust impression. It's nice to have two colors in the set and fitting the bolts means a clean finish on the back of the valve - IF you manage to tighten the bolts.
