So, I was looking for a meat grinder when I was cooking jerky and I came across this one, saw good reviews and a good price and decided to buy it. When unpacking the food slicer, the first thing that strikes you is how poorly packed it is, with cheap styrofoam breaking into small balls and scattering everywhere. Well, that's fine. When taking out the device, it has a good suction cup base that sticks firmly to the table surface, which is really nice. The blade was nice and sharp, and the device itself was a very thin metal frame, that's where the pros end. The meat bowl and pusher are plastic, and very thin and cheap plastic, it was very brittle and you could tell it would break after a while, and there were already small scratches on the surfaces that had dents on the surface where they were could start multiplying bacteria. . The biggest downside for me was the meat tray (which the meat rests on) which CANNOT be removed! So you basically have to use a towel and cleaner to wipe down the tray and you can't get into the little crevices where bacteria can grow. In my opinion this is a major disadvantage for me as I want to ensure that all my kitchen appliances (especially appliances that come in direct contact with raw food) are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and this food slicer will NOT allow for that. Because of these few defects, I put the food slicer back in the box and started sending it back, so I can't say anything about the performance of the device or how well it cuts. Overall, if you value easy cleaning of the device, I wouldn't recommend it. .Update: The seller tried to contact me and said he would refund my money if I would change my rating to 5 stars. Not only does this violate the Revains Terms of Service, but it is also highly suspicious, which explains why this device has more positive than negative reviews.
