This blanket is of excellent quality. After the first wash it has retained its quality so far. Our 9 month old is very, very large - about the size of a 2 year old! Because of this, we couldn't find a baby blanket that wouldn't extend past his tiny legs. I wanted something of good quality as it was going to be his main sleeping blanket but it wasn't too big for him to sleep in. I bought the larger of the two sizes and don't know what the smaller looks like, but this one is about the size of a regular duvet. This completely covers their growth space. He has slept through both nights since he got this 2 days ago. He was waking up several times a night throughout the week, so it was an unexpected surprise, and the only difference in his daily routine was that blanket. He was also calm when he woke up just rubbing the soft material. That calms him down a lot. He may even wake up, but calms himself down by falling asleep again and rubbing the covers. I am very impressed. I would give it a 10 star rating for the extra sleep it has given me lately!
