Review on Seachem StressGuard Slime Coat Protection: A 500 ml Solution to Reduce Stress and Toxic Ammonia! by Jessica Randolph

Far Superior to API Anti-Stress Coating

This material is great for healing burrs and scratches! I have a pink betta whose fins are prone to cracking and fin rot. I've found this stuff to be a must for him, so I now add it to his tank with every water change. I even add it to my goldfish tank as its fins are always a little sloppy from constantly bouncing along the bottom. His fins look like new now! I recommend not following the directions and only adding the full dose after a water change. Otherwise your aquarium will be filled with foam bubbles. The blue dye in this material also colors the transparent suction cups light blue (just like the water itself). Stress Guard would be perfect without the pointless blue paint job. I'm afraid I'll spill it and soil the carpet. (I also DO NOT RECOMMEND getting a pink-tailed betta. Their fins are so delicate and require special care.)

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Slightly Torn
