They weigh about once more than normal. They are VERY well made and dig into the tire with cast aluminum teeth. I (still) drive a 500 two-stroke engine and only have one installed. Then I went to the track and forgot to check the tire pressure. I did a lap and a half and then fell on a jump because the rear gave out. (Imagine that! LOL) I discovered that the valve stem was leaking, leaving my rear tire completely flat from the start. The tire wouldn't move on the rim at all, with ONE of those rim locks, on a Smoker 500 with a flat tire! That's the best proof I can think of. Replace two rear stockings with one of these, less hassle changing tires and your tire will never slip on a rim again.
