Review on Ryobi P305 One+ 18V Cordless Hot Glue Gun: Battery-Exclusive Power Tool with 3 Multipurpose Glue Sticks by Kristen Reid

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best glue gun I've ever used!

I have a couple of Milwaukee M12/M18 tools but it was this cordless glue gun that made me try Ryobi and it didn't disappoint. There seems to be almost no good options for cordless glue guns, the ones that run on standard batteries don't heat up enough, some aren't truly cordless but you can unplug them from the gun and it relies on the remaining heat to do the work. a few minutes while you bind, others are butane, but it's hard to control the temperature. It drained the compact lithium batteries fairly quickly + probably 30-40 minutes but usually more than it takes me to use the tool. This seems to be the hotter side of most glue guns I've used, but it's not enough to cook the dual temperature glue you typically sell in stores these days. I think it would be too hot to use real low temp glue. The trigger is very good and gives good control and also has a check valve on the tip to prevent glue from dripping during operation. Maybe the only thing that would be nice would be if they added an LED, but for $30 it's probably asking a lot. The hot glue gun tip is when you need to add a new rod, heat one end of the new rod at the tip and then glue it to the back of the current rod. This ensures there are no feeding issues and helps reduce air bubbles at the junction of the two sticks.
