All old gold door handles replaced with oil bronze. Some of my doors also had gold locks. This novel oil bronze ball clasp was a direct replacement. What's really nice is how easy it is to adjust the ball up and down. This makes it ideal for closing and opening. My only small issue was that the strike plate was a bit smaller compared to the original, but I was able to install them without drilling or modifying the door. I was just looking at where the ball would hit the plate, they screw into the striker plate. Now the doors work great. With old fittings, some doors would not close at all, while others were difficult to open and close. Now everything works fine. The woman is happy!
