I have a torn meniscus for which I never had surgery and this sleeve helps stabilize my knee when it gets irritated. I find that walking and twisting, like when going up the stairs, tends to bother my injury. When that happens, I can put on one of these knee braces and minimize the motion that causes the irritation.These sleeves have a good amount of stretch to them, making them easy to get on. They are supportive though. They allow my knee to bend with a little bit of effort, but keep it from twisting as I bend it. The fabric is breathable and I don't get hot or sweaty underneath. I can hand wash these and lay them flat to dry after I've used them a few times to keep them fresh. I don't use them that often, but when I do need to be active and my knee is bothering me, the support they offer is good to have.
