Review on Maxxima M63100R Oval Stop Light by David Tison

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great Intensity. with some problems

These taillights are VERY BRIGHT! I put four in the bed of my pickup truck 13 years ago, they lasted about 10 years and only lost a couple of LEDs out of 60 and I live in the Northeast where road salt and dirt blow up from my road. these are all of dual wheels. I had to replace them a few years ago because the pins in the connectors were starting to rot and they weren't working all the time. It was a success story of the first set, the second set which I just replaced with a third set after only 2 years didn't last as long (hence my 4 star rating). They started to get annoying shortly after installation, low intensity, didn't work at all, sometimes worked well, replaced all four, nice and bright again, no idea, second four from a bad batch? I've also had two of these lights on a dump trailer for the past 13 years, they're low to the ground just behind the wheels and I live on a dirt road. It has worked fine all along except now a few LEDs are going out but how can you expect incandescent bulbs to last more than a month under these conditions! No matter how bright and clear the turn signals are, when you're sitting in the middle of the road and cell-phone-wielding idiots come up behind you. I will call Maxxima and see how good they are with their product as they say it lasts up to 100,000 hours and has a 10 year guarantee. Just take a look? All in all a product with great intensity and good longevity unless you get a "lemon".

Pros
