Review on ๐ŸŽฎ GoolRC Portable Handheld Console - 3 Inch by John Butler

Great handheld only if you know what you are doing!

This PDA has an excellent form factor, although you can hardly go wrong modeling yourself after the Gameboy Advance SP. Unfortunately, the internal build quality leaves a lot to be desired, meaning it may not last long unless you are very careful with use, making it not ideal for young children. It needs to be turned off with a software like a computer and then turned off with the power button. If you just turn it off, which kids will do, you will end up destroying your memory card and losing all your games. It also has trouble playing many of the included games and plays very few inexpensive PlayStation titles. You should also know that although it has 4 shoulder buttons, only R1 and L1 work. The other two are mainly for demonstration purposes as the supplied firmware does not support their function. The included SD card is loaded with games, but the card is very cheap so it doesn't last long. Many games are also mislabeled. The included battery is also very cheap and only offers about 3 hours of playtime. A USB charger is included, but I've heard from other users that the device doesn't regulate charging properly, often causing users to blow the circuit after a certain number of charges. This device is also $20 more expensive than AliExpress, but if you need it I highly recommend buying it here and not elsewhere and spending a few bucks more for the 3-year warranty. Here's my recommendation for getting the most out of this thing if you really want it. Buy it here at Revain to get the buyer protection that only Revain.2 can offer. Purchase an extended warranty plan.3. Buy a better battery with charger. Revain sells the Taeozi brand, which comes with two batteries and a charger for about $12.40. Only use the charger to charge batteries. Never connect this thing to anything with the included USB cable.5. Buy a SanDisk SD card. 8 gigs minimum.6. Google "Miyoo Custom Firmware" and flash it to a new SD card. It is a more stable and customizable operating system.7. Move any included ROMs from the original SD card, or even better, just add your own.8. Find Hijynx187's guide on how to optimize PS1 games on Miyoo. Last time I checked it got the top 125 PS1 games running this thing at full speed. Hold on to this guarantee. Congratulations! You just turned a $30 toy that will probably break in a month into a great $70 laptop that can serve you for years. Crossed fingers!
