Review on Pertronix D7104600 Black Distributor Small by Kyle Hoes

I installed this distributor on my Chevrolet 350 per the instructions. It was a recently rebuilt engine that worked until I replaced the distributors. After installing the distributor, my engine would not start properly or not run at all. I then followed all the troubleshooting instructions straight from the Pertronix website. All the distributor would do is make my engine shake and rattle and backfire. In fact, it didn't start and didn't work. I'm not sure if I've come across a Petronix distributor with a bad module or something. But I really wanted it to work with the built in rev limiter and all. I just couldn't get it to work properly. So I took it out and went back to my old Mallory dealership and it immediately caught fire. Take what you will from this but I have not had a good experience with this distributor and in the future would recommend reading all application notes and models for your engine application before purchasing.
