The extension cord is well made and properly connected. I recently noticed that some power strips (Mobite) don't have all the sockets plugged in properly! This is a problem with devices that use a polarized plug because the hot and neutral wires are reversed. I've had two mobites, both wired incorrectly, but this Trond device is top notch. All outputs are correct, the wide slot is neutral and the narrow slot contains the hot wire. You can either buy a $5 polarity tester to test this or a voltmeter. Not only is this Trond device well made, but the addition of sewing feet at each corner is a really big improvement over using double-sided tape.
