Review on ACTIVA Blackjack Fire White Craft and Sculpture Supplies by Amber Perez

Excellent plasticity, creamy and non-sticky, one of my favorite throwing clays. It's dense and smooth, no grog, but holds its shape with a wheel. I like it to dry out a bit, so I use a small low-speed fan when pouring, which just tweaks it a bit when I'm finalizing smooth shape. The bisque is white and works well with 04. The manufacturer says this clay can be fired up to 5, but I haven't shot at medium range yet so can't confirm. I have used different or commercially available glazes and underglazes, they seem to be quite stable in the glazing result. Any mistakes were probably my prep steps and not icing adjustments. I recommend for new students and potters looking for a flexible clay with relatively stable throwing characteristics.
