I bought this because I had a larger older version and it worked great for a couple of years before it broke. This one was a pita from the start. At first I thought it was some sort of user error and I'd get used to it, WRONG! Most of the time it misses marks on the can, breaks the edge so you can't deal with a manual can opener, or doesn't cut far enough to rip off the lid. The last straw was that last can, it didn't open in THREE PLACES. I had to either throw out the full jar or cut through the smallest spot with a knife (because a manual can opener that goes over the same spot can't work if that happened) so I could lift one side high enough to get the to get overcooked beans out, little by little. It is dangerous and impossible to continue. It shouldn't be that much work! A manual can opener at least opens the jar! This version is a huge mistake. I removed the batteries and threw them away.
