A bit slow but opens cans

Bought for my mum who decided she needed an old school electric can opener instead. I didn't have a job when I tried to return, so I decided to keep it to myself. The size is good. Fits easily in my drawer. A bit slow but I'm not sure if it's my batteries or not. How fast can you be when a few extra seconds to open a can is really a problem? We haven't found a jar we couldn't open. He even opened a jar with a "bell" at the top. Snaps onto the lid of the jar and walks around on its own so you…

The best battery powered bottle opener!

I think something is happening with canned goods after the pandemic. This automatic opener is extremely reliable and rarely fails, but due to the pandemic, the top of the cans have different thicknesses around the rim. This is my second one but due to the pandemic the first one stopped working. Replaced batteries were still on, then turned off after moving about half an inch. The second does the same. Sometimes he rushes around the can, no one needs it, then the next can starts and ends. I…

I bought this because I had a larger older version and it worked great for a couple of years before it broke. This one was a pita from the start. At first I thought it was some sort of user error and I'd get used to it, WRONG! Most of the time it misses marks on the can, breaks the edge so you can't deal with a manual can opener, or doesn't cut far enough to rip off the lid. The last straw was that last can, it didn't open in THREE PLACES. I had to either throw out the full jar or cut through…

watch out for the cover!

I was very interested in this product as my electric opener was becoming too difficult to use (I never managed to position the blade properly to operate the opener so I had to resort to an old school manual opener which has become too painful to use due to my recent osteoarthritis). Anyway, I eagerly approached my first glass. The opener turned the can over and stopped. (Oh, practice has taught me that to turn it on you have to press/hold lightly, not just press quickly.) I picked up an opener…
