Review on AMD Ryzen 3900X 24 Thread Processor by Andrey Koulev ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

In general, the purchase is satisfied. Assembled a working home station for a reasonable price. I recommend to buy. Gamers definitely do not need this stone. For games, Ryzen 7 or Core i7-i9 are much better suited.

Pros
  • 1) Price. 2) Characteristics. 3) The best price / quality ratio on the market for 12 cores. 4) When rendering, it loads up to 100%, which is cool. The former Xeon e5 -2697v2 (also 12/24) loaded up to a maximum of 75%.
Cons
  • 1) When rendering, the temperature jumps sharply to 95 ° C. As a result, it cuts the speed so that there is no overheating (see photo). There is a BeQuiet Dark Rock 4 tower. In idle, the temperature does not rise above 65 ° C. 2) The almost complete absence of overclocking potential. There is a built-in Game Mode that allows you to add +350 MHz to the base frequency and that's it. Frequencies were not taken higher. In rendering at full load of all cores, this gives an increase of about one percent, which is about nothing. Returned the base frequencies so that it is less heated. Perhaps this Mode will give gamers a slightly more tangible increase. 3) With overclocked memory up to 3600, it does not work stably. I had to return the base 3200. Those who want to overclock to 5 GHz and higher are definitely not here.
