It definitely works for what I need. I was worried that it wouldn't be powerful enough, but I'm not a gamer and when I monitor its performance with Windows 10's task manager, the CPU performance percentage stays below 50% and the GPU rarely goes above 10 %. The most demanding things I do are Finale and Ableton. I have a B450 MSI Mini-ATX motherboard with 16GB of memory and I'm using only integrated graphics, no overclocking. This is the first computer I built and my budget was tight. I'm glad I didn't spend more money. However, I recently bought a Dell laptop with a Ryzen 3500U processor, which I upgraded to 16GB (dual channel) RAM with 8GB, also using the integrated graphics (Vega 8). I can say that this setup also does everything I need with the same software. If I were a player I might need more energy. But still the 3400G and 3500U work for me.
