Has nothing to do with engine management systems

Installed according to instructions and carefully monitoring engine performance for several days using a quality OBDII scanner. There was absolutely no difference in perceived performance, actual fuel consumption, or performance parameters like LTFT, Lambda, etc. In one case, LTFT dropped by 0.8% on average over 11 frames when the chip was connected, but that's too small, to be anything but a random fluctuation. I was worried I had damaged one of the plugs so I got new ones from the supplier and installed them after cleaning the controller again. This time I used my scanner to check the IAT at idle and at various RPMs before the chip was connected, after the chip was connected and again after it was disconnected. There was absolutely no difference. Since this chip mainly works to trick your ECU into believing that the IAT is lower than it actually is, it didn't do anything as the IAT didn't change whether the chip was connected to an IAT sensor or not. Considering that the chip clearly failed the test of its most basic and important function, not to mention the LTFT values and every other parameter my scan tool can measure (which also varies before and after the chip is connected have not changed). time), I have to conclude that A. I'm very, very bad at installing the screw terminals, or B. this chip doesn't really do anything. I have to say that I found the support from the vendor to be prompt and professional. But obviously, if the product they support doesn't do anything, it's not very useful.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
