Scratched inside and dented outside

Received this Moka 18 cup pot and was disappointed that it had scratches all over the inside and a dent on the outside just above the valve. The damage looks intentional - I've had many Moka pans over the years and never seen one with such scratches or damage. The outer box is undamaged, only the pot inside.
