The immobilizer is very practical when lying down. It slides down and moves down your leg when you're active. Get an immobilizer with loops on top, you'll need them when walking. It works best when the person is bedridden. It stays in place better when placed directly on the skin. It slides easily when there is fabric between it and the leg. Velcro is very durable. I like the feel of the material as it doesn't feel like cheap hospital foam braces. Generally a normal value if you need something short-term and won't be active.
