My dog recently had ACL surgery. For reference, he is a 25lb. Coton/Bichon mix. Short legs. For the first 48 hours, this product was AWESOME. My dog doesn't mind wearing at all. He sleeps comfortably in it. Walks and eats great. But.once he got more alert and probably itchy, he discovered how to get to the bandage and incision. I agree with other reviewers that a third ring would be perfect. I've even tried to come up with a DIY method but nothing so far. Since the cone I was given by the vet is too bit for him to walk I'm sadly heading to the pet store today to get a smaller cone in hopes that prevents the itching of the scar. It's such a great product for the right sized dog. I'm so sad it's not working for us anymore because he doesn't mind it one bit. No recoil when I come at his little face to put it on. ;-). Maybe a neutering or spading surgery would be a better fit. I think this isn't the best for legs and arms.
