Sketchers has outperformed the hiking shoe market, at least in my opinion. I'm sick of the sneakers I use from a better known shoe company that just want you to do it. I used their shoes as casual shoes and my feet kept getting worse, but I lived with it. Then I got fed up and started looking for REAL hiking shoes. I kept coming back to the GOrun Consistent-Athletic Workout Running Walking Shoe Sneaker Sketchers so I decided to give it a try. For the price it was worth the risk and it paid off BIG TIME! This shoe is feather light. The cushioning is soft and stretchy which means it won't fade all day and my feet don't hurt and the shoe is all mesh so my feet stay REALLY cool all the time. I like to go for a 2 hour walk every other day and in my old shoes my feet hurt most of the day but with these sketchers I have ZERO pain when I'm done, sweating is NO PROBLEM and they are comfortable while I walk . I hope Sketchers will continue to make these shoes for many years to come as they work in every way. However, remember that every foot is different and what works for some or most may not work for others. I gave them a chance and it worked. Hope this works for you too.
