I have a hernia in my lower back and it also helps with sleeping. This relieved pressure on the lower back and helped solve some comfort issues when lying down. A small complaint was that the width felt a bit narrow (16.5 inches), but I was used to my legs being a bit wider than my hips and this forced me to keep my legs straight. I got used to it, but an extra 6 inches on each side might have been better for me (instead, my feet often got close to the edge and felt like they might slide off). I'm 6'1", weigh 190 pounds and sleep in a queen bed with my partner. If she was a bit wider she could sit on my partner's side. If I slept wide and had a king bed, suggest a broader product.
