So I've always used some type of tactile switch, as I do a lot of typing. I was pretty hesitant to try out a linear. To my surprise the linear switches on this keyboard feel great for both gaming and typing.They keys are dampened with a silicone ring they they are fairly quite which is nice, they make a nice pleasant thocky sound. I play CS:GO and I went from a Silver III to a Gold Nova II after adjusting to this keyboard.Coming from an off brand blue switch tkl, Razer's purple switches are surprisingly easy to actuate. I've had one other Razer board prior to this had clicky switches, which I was not a fan of. Went with the linear opticals, which I would say was the smart play. These are almost like cherry red silent switches, although you can here the key bottoming out. Some of my switches rattle more with their design, especially the space bar. I already have a full size Huntsman V2 with purple switches, 5 stars on that one. Getting into FPS's, my mouse was smacking into the number pad when I needed quick movements. The mini solved that issue. I'm still gonna use my full size for normal use (typing on it right now) but I have the smaller one sitting right about it ready to switch for gaming. It looks a bit tacky with 2 keyboards, but it's my setup and I love the extra lighting aesthetic.

When I first got this delivered, I was apprehensive. It’s small, like really small. So many keys I rely on daily are inaccessible without the function key.But then I saw my desk, and it’s gorgeous.
