The product is great for cutting food. It easily cuts large potatoes and carrots. The reason I stopped using it was because the bad smell was coming from the wooden handles on the big cutters! It's a very strong chemical smell of burnt wood, not what I want from food. The scent lingers on my fingers when I use it. I have washed the handle many times with hot water, soap, vinegar, coffee etc. Nothing works. I'm not sure where the manufacturer got the wood for the handle, but it's really nasty. I should note that other cutters have a different material handle and are fine. QC was on vacation?
