Looks good looks good - some minor annoyances with installation

I installed this faucet to replace an old 1987 Moen (worked horribly). I'm a DIY enthusiast so this isn't the first faucet I've installed. I am impressed with the quality, fit and finish of the faucet. The case is made entirely of metal, in my case chrome-plated. The interior has threaded brass mounting rods but the rest of the interior plumbing is plastic BUT not regular plastic. This material is HARD - like bakelite, but I think this plastic is different. Looks more like metal than plastic. That doesn't bother me at all - I'm pleased that this is a quality material, whatever it may be. mechanism, like everything else. It works but is sluggish. The body of the faucet came in a non-woven drawstring bag - as if it were jewels in a crown. Also included was a pair of white cotton gloves. I haven't used them. Perhaps the gloves and cloth pouch were a marketing ploy to emphasize that the faucet is the jewel of the crown? A full roll of Teflon tape was included. I didn't use this because none of the fittings were the type that required teflon tape. I wish they had added sanitary silicone instead of teflon tape. I usually use plumbing putty, but the drain warning not to use oil-based putty like plumbing putty calls for silicone. Luckily I had enough leftovers from my old job that I didn't have to drive to the hardware store. Now for the negative part of this review. The drain rod is attached to a perforated steel strap like all similar faucets BUT the steel used in the WOWWOW strap is too flimsy and will bend with use. I had to reuse a steel band from an old Moen faucet that was much thicker steel. The spring clip for the horizontal swivel joint is also sharp-edged and cut my thumb during installation. I had to finish cleaning. WOWWOW reading these reviews - replace some silicone with gloves and a cloth pouch.
