Review on Aerobie AeroPress Coffee Maker Accessory by Daniel Fung

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It worked - a bit pricey

I've read all sorts of reviews about it. I thought it would be great for making coffee while camping, hiking and other travel. Baseline: He does the job I hired him for, making coffee and looking cool. Using the press as directed in the instructions turned out to be something between a pourover and a press. After pouring the water over the cup from the top with the press, the water basically just flowed out as I stirred it (maybe I used too much grind). Using a reverse style press, it seemed to brew coffee like my French press. No better, no worse Pros Small filters are easy to remove along with the coffee stopper after brewing Sturdy construction - I don't see anything that could easily break Cons Lots of parts (some seem really trivial - like the filter holder) that don't fit into the compact housing fit. This is an important point when camping/hiking - I want the pieces to fit together better and thus stay together as a whole. Expensive for what it is.

Pros
  • espresso maker
Cons
  • only available in black
