After dealing with our dishwasher's leaking problem, I decided to look for a product that would not only alert you to a leak but also shut off the water supply. This valve does just that. It emits an audible signal and upon detecting water, quickly shuts off the water at the valve. I also have a smart sensor that I hooked up to flash in the bedroom and living room when it detects water. Between them, leaks no longer have an opportunity to destroy our soil. I would also recommend a dishwasher safe pan to protect the bottom. It's a lot easier to get some water outside than having it spill under your floor and create a boring kitchen.
