My 10 year old Peanut son is only about 63 pounds! Here in New England it freezes in cold weather. The last month has been pretty rough, the weather dropping to 20 degrees Fahrenheit in the mornings for school. He also usually only wears a long-sleeved t-shirt under his coat. It stays warm enough not to just complain about those 2 coats. The coat is very light so when he gets warmer during the day he can easily slip it into his little pocket on the front of his backpack and we usually machine wash cold and dry with no problems. The fabric held up to the stupid putty, cranberry juice and lipstick from his hair without stains or tears.
