Review on Listed Cable Matters Shielded Keystone by Michael Lara

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product for Category 6a (takes getting used to)

I bought these to run Category 6a cabling around the house (unshielded cabling). This way I can receive POE anywhere in my house with Ubiquiti switches. Overall, using these keystones was a bit difficult at first. It is very difficult to connect keystones after the cables are ready to be routed to the keystone jack. The good thing, however, is that they are tool-free. The easiest way I've found to snap them into place is to use pliers. It worked great. Once closed they are very secure. Also, I think they should have a little better control over the quality of plastic parts without tools. I noticed that the 568-b markings on one of my Jack's non-instrument dies were indistinct. This was possible due to print misalignment. I just used another jack to make sure everything is fine. However, if you only have one of the cornerstones left, you could be out of luck. Also, these metal keystones match my wall panels perfectly. They can be a little tricky when it comes to unplugging Ethernet cables from the port itself from time to time. I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing since people don't typically move ethernet cables around their wall at home. Also the 6a metal engraving is a nice touch and ensures you know the recommended patch cords for these keystones.
