Review on Pirelli Ice Zero FR 235/65 R17 108H winter by Wiktor Lipski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for the price.

A few years ago I switched from Velcro to spikes, and this season I switched back to Velcro of this model and manufacturer. My delight knows no bounds! Prior to this rubber exploited Yokohama on spikes and what kind of torture it was. When braking, the car was dragged and “used” like a cow on ice, it was always thrown out of the rut, noise. I didn’t think about it and attributed everything to the diameter of the wheels (r16), naively believing that it throws everyone at 16x) And how surprised you were to change your shoes to this rubber! Pleasant, soft, not noisy, without throwing, a pleasure. Of course, on the ice, as Velcro is supposed to be, it is slippery, but in my opinion, in moderation. Many years ago, another car had Velcro, I don’t remember the manufacturer, and it was worse there. So now I compensate for the slip simply by the ability to drive on the mechanics and, in principle, I try not to bring it to this. It's not worth driving at all in the winter. On w / m, the installer also praised the rubber. She also passed the stress test. It was worth changing shoes, as I planted a self-tapping screw, I did not immediately notice. As a result, she crawled on flat tires for about 500 meters. I was very afraid that such soft rubber would not endure this and the balloon for ejection, and did not make much bets on 1000m, laid down in theory for such cases. BUT! She took out) The self-tapping screw was pulled out, a tourniquet, everything is according to the classics and tfu tfu, I have already forgotten about this not pleasant incident. Special thanks to the seller. The goods were prepared in 1.5 hours, they helped to load them into the car, they gave all the necessary documents. As a result - a solid 10k, I recommend!

Pros
  • They hold the road, are soft, pleasant, do not shake in a rut, are not noisy.
Cons
  • When braking hard, it drags on ice, but not much, which in my opinion is a good indicator for Velcro.
