First of all, the rating "excellent arch support" is either a grossly inaccurate mistake or an outright lie. These shoes give the impression that you are walking on two separate soles with minimal cushioning. I also have flat feet and have 20 minutes to guess what hurts the most. Yes, my arch/midfoot. It feels like they are stretched between two unconnected soles. The soles themselves are also brick. No padding, concessions or rebound, which is terrible for a "hiking shoe". The "memory foam" insoles are a joke too - they're too thin to matter and I think the Sketchers know that. Also, they didn't fit me. I wear 10.5W and they actually feel wider/bigger than most shoes I buy. In the end you need to buy some good insoles/insole to make these shoes worth wearing every day, so you can just go ahead and buy the best shoes first.
