Review on MSI B450 GAMING PLUS Max ATX Motherboard: AMD Ryzen 2ND and 3rd Gen AM4 Support with M.2, USB 3.0, DDR4, DVI, HDMI, Crossfire by Jairo Cunha

I bought a B450 Gaming Plus ATX motherboard for my last budget. The motherboard came in a nice and sturdy box with all the hardware needed for installation. Please note that I bought the ATX version so I had no problems installing a CPU cooler as others have stated with mAtx boards. As you can see from the photos, I fitted a fairly large cooler to the board with no issues or interference from nearby components (ignore the cable routing, no routing was done when this picture was taken). This board states that it is Ryzen compatible. 3 Series CPU out of the box, I can verify this as my Ryzen 5 3600 booted with no issues and no driver updates were required. The layout of the ports on the board is pretty well thought out, the only thing I would wish for would be more fan headers, but luckily my fans also had a connector to plug them directly into the power supply. The downside to this is that you lose control of the fan, but that's not a problem for me since my fans are static. Cons: The BIOS boot time for this board is very slow. I would estimate around 10-15 seconds for the board to send a message and boot up the computer. While not a deal breaker, it's definitely annoying. The good news is that MSI has fixed this issue and released updated firmware that fixes this issue. I would recommend this motherboard to the budget conscious builder or PC builder who doesn't need all the flashy RGB and RGB controller components. It's been installed for over three months of daily use and I haven't had a single problem with this motherboard. You can see the RTX 2060 GPU in the photos, unfortunately this card froze and failed two weeks after purchase. I switched to the RX 5700 and have no regrets about that decision.
