Review on ๐Ÿƒ 57 Cards Plastics: High-Quality Rook Cards with Green Backs by David Norwood

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Color fades quite badly on them, not very happy with them

Ordered November 4, 2018 - Review August 4, 2019 We ordered them because the original Rook cards are paper cards and they stick very poorly. We've been looking for plastic-coated cards that won't stick when dealt, and they fit the bill in that regard. We have no sticking issues even after 9 months of using this deck. The PROBLEM is that on these cards the color fades very badly. I added pictures and even added two unused cards from the deck to show how much the game has faded in less than a year. We now play Rook every Saturday and usually play 2-3 rounds (how many hands does a team need to win). In my opinion, this is not such a big "wear and tear" of these cards. I have UNO cards that my kids and I have played with for years (and kids don't like things like cards) that don't fade and look amazing. Are these tower cards useless now? No, we can still play with it and you can see the numbers and colors (albeit very faded). A problem for those who are older or who have vision problems is when they start to fade. it becomes more of a problem. The people I play with are older and disappearance becomes a problem for them. Not to mention that for $15 they should last longer and look a lot better even after a year of use. If they had printed the cards and covered them in plastic after printing, they probably would have held up better. But as it is. You can look at the photos and judge for yourself. These cards are easier to deal and handle, they don't stick BUT after some use they really, REALLY start to disappear. I'm not sure how long it will be before we can no longer use them. And I will not buy this brand again. We'll keep looking, someone needs to make some decent Rook cards!
