Remove Existing IPR
I have found that changing the oil in the HPOP at the same time as changing the IPR reduces the amount of oil that needs to be cleaned when removing the existing IPR. My existing IP was longer than the new one, which prevented me from using a deep socket to delete. A shower valve removal socket purchased from Harbor Freight has been found to allow the removal of an existing IPR.
