I bought this jug to make kombucha. I have to admit it's pretty amazing and easy to use. Some are confused by the presence of a plastic ring designed to protect against fruit flies. As you can see in the video, I cut the fabric to fit the ring and secured it with a large elastic. Then, using double-sided tape, I placed pieces of cork on top of the lid for ventilation. Works great and without the curtain the outside looks great too!
