Review on Alpine SPS M601W Type S Coaxial Speakers by Michael Altayeb

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great speakers, great buy!

I have to admit. I bought them for my boat in November 2018, they are almost 2 years old. I researched size, power, everything. I'm an Alpine fan, but the fabric-soaked piping put me off a bit. I like durable tires. But here I am, almost 2 years later, and they sound great, like day one, and are arriving! Well my system, I have a Fusion MS-RA70 head, can't tell you how great it is! It feeds the internal speakers well in the 30-foot Baja MY290. Connected to 4-channel Clarion amplifier for external subwoofer and 2 Alpine. Now 2 Alpine speakers and a subwoofer work through the old amp. Old school power! Alpins are exposed to all the elements and my usual wash. They STILL sound great! I'm a big believer in Alpine and everything they put into cloth woofers! If you're looking for a great sounding speaker that will last for several seasons and won't break, then you've come to the right place. Now notice I didn't drink with 2 2000 watt amps! Old School Clarion, 4 channels, 50 watts per channel, real amp! If you're just looking to upgrade or give your new boat speakers a little boost, you've come to the right place! 2 years later, no crunches and I love them.!
