Doesn't transmit HDR at 40ft

This 40ft cable is labeled as HDMI 2.0 so it should stream 4K with HDR from my Sony UHD Blu-ray player but it doesn't. I plugged it into the HDMI 2.0 port of an Optoma Cinemax P2 ultra short throw projector, but the projector didn't believe anything was plugged into it. When I connected it to an HDMI 1.4 port, I got a 4K picture without HDR. To make sure the HDMI 2.0 port was working, I connected a 3-4 foot HDMI Monster 10.2Gb/s cable between the player and the HDMI 2.0 port, and voila! I have a 4K @ 60Hz image with HDR. If you can live with 4K without HDR, this cable length will work. But if you want to enjoy 4K in HDR on your UHD TV or projector (and who doesn't?), buy something else. This is a return.
